Benchmark Workouts

CrossFit is a program that is observable, measureable and repeatable. Therefore, we need workouts to test our capacity to see improvements. These workouts were given names, much like hurricanes…I certainly feel like I went through a hurricane after one of these workouts.

Here is a link to the Benchmark Workouts that CrossFit uses.

Try some, write down your results, then try them again in a month or so to see if you have improved. If you CrossFit regularly, I can guarantee you’ll see improvements.

    I did Karen today, which is 150 wall ball shots. Starting in a squat position, throw a 20# medicine ball at a 10ft target.

    I used 19# and finished with a time of 6:18.
