The Open

This year, CrossFit is putting on two Opens. One in the spring (same as previous years), and one in the fall. After this year, all the Opens will be in October.

We won’t be putting on the Intramural Open in the spring. However, people can still register for the CrossFit Open, find a judge, and complete the workouts on Friday nights or during an Open Gym.

In October, we’ll be making it a big event, making teams, and hosting Friday Night Lights, with a kick-ass party at the end.

  1. Will the Friday classes be doing the workout?

    • That’s the plan, but it entirely depends on what they are. If they have that overhead walking lunge BS again, probably not.

    Got to 130# — Failed @ 135#

    Had 70 burpees to get my ballots in on an even number of reps so did 17.1 which has 75 burpee box jump overs.

    Used 20# DB, 20″ box step overs. Finished at 21:07.
    Last time I did it: 17.1 scaled 217/225 reps at 20:00 time cap.

    Decided to get Nick to add time when my 20 minutes was up so I could finish it… Don’t think I did better than last time. I guess I paced a bit too much at the beginning. But I did get a really good workout in and finished off the week with a total of 355 burpees.
