QOD – AMRAP X mins Burpees

The more I think about it, more it would make sense. Coud be 7 mins, could be 10, could be 5… just to get burping (burpee-ing? bur-peeing?) in a different time domain.

    7 min pullups!

i was watching the crossfit games update this morning and behind tony budding one of the guy in the video talking about the games and the reginals.

My attentive eye saw 8 min burpees behind him on the board. so i pull out my 7 min pullup and i am going with 8 min burpees. LOL!

      • March 6, 2013 at 8:26 am #

Really!? I wasnt watching just listening to the update show with earbuds… if this happens I totally called it! :D

I’m sure they’re not that careless with the information…? They can’t be. And I’m hoping not for burpees, that’s boring.

      • March 6, 2013 at 9:14 am #

Either they put that there to make people nervous, or as an “easter egg” kind of hint… seeing how the staff at Crossfit HQ seems to like having fun with the community (i.e. WOD 13.0) Im not ruling it out just yet.

        I <3 CF HQ :D

If there is an intention to keep the Open truly open and accessible, 13.1 won’t be anything that the “mere mortals” like me would regularly have to scale – like pull ups; they’ll save that for later. So something body weight like burpees makes sense if we hadn’t done that first last year (then it wouldn’t be “constantly varied” ;) . So, like everyone else I don’t have a sweet clue!

That was a cardio burn. It is great to finally have the confidence to visit other gyms when I am traveling. So much better than hotel treadmills, or just sitting on my backside watching tv. If you are in the area, they have a great facility and a great atmosphere.

As for the opening Games WOD. I hope they do something like last year to help everyone get past the opening day nerves. Well as long as it is not max rep pistols in 8 minutes. Then I am just going to go home. Lol
