Eva or Change for Change

It’s been 967 days since moving into 94 Rideout Street. Over that time, we’ve trained hundreds of people in over 3000 workouts. Membership grew from 6 people to over 80 in that time period. Some have come and gone, but many have stayed, reaping the benefits of CrossFit.

As sad as it is to leave behind 94 Rideout, I look forward with great anticipation to training all of you at our new location on 25 Alcock Street.

The last workout at 94 Rideout is one of the toughest ladies out there. She will chew you up and spit you out. Handle her with care and enjoy your last day here.

Five rounds for time of:
Run 800 meters
30 Kettlebell swings
30 Pull-ups

Compare to July 26/10

Pierre, one of the original members, still with us today

Not a huge fan of Eva but last time I finished 4 rounds in 42:39 today I was done 4 rounds a little over 2 mins faster and went on to finish the 5th. I think after round 3 you kind of go numb so 4 and 5 don’t seem as bad?

I’ll have lots of memories from Rideout St. but looking forward to making new ones!

Last time I did this WOD, my score was 44:23, but I used the green and yellow bands for round 1 and the green band for the rest of the rounds. My kb was also 35lbs.

Wicked crazy mentally tough work-out!!!! First time I did kbs with 53 lbs. I am so pround of myself that I was able to finish this WOD under 1 hr as Rx. Thank you so so much Sonia for your coaching at rounds 4 and 5; you seriously got me through this WOD today!!! My hands are torn to shit again, but oh well, I am on a natural high right now, so I do not feel them…smiles…

I had a really hard time deciding what my last workout should be on Rideout Street. I considered a few, but ended up choosing the Intro WOD. Joanna has called me a hypocrite for having never done the Intro wod. I’ve dished it out to hundreds of people, but never tried it myself. So….

    AMRAP 10min
    5 Pushups
10 Situps (straight leg + abmat)
    15 Squats

    14 rounds + 8 squats

Pretty pleased with my results. Situps were the tough part for me. Everything was unbroken, so I’ll have to try it again with faster transitions.

Great job to everyone today on their chosen workouts. Tons of PRs and buckets of sweat! A great was to leave 94 Rideout behind.
