Holidays

December 27, 2009

So what has everyone been up to over the holidays? Did you get to spend lots of time with family and friends? Eat lots of good food? Get any good loot for Christmas? Let me know in the comments.

I just found these butt shots on my camera last night! Note to self: Don't leave camera sitting around at the Christmas Party.

Well, I am not registered for the qualifiers! Serious training will start on Jan. 2nd! Can’t wait!

As for the holidays, we are still enjoying time with our respective families and I saw some of my old friends. It is always a good time over Christmas.

As for food, I am a disaster wherever I go now…. I eat everything I see no matter how much sugar there is in it and I feel like crap! But it only happens once a year so I enjoy it! :D I also catch a cold 2 days ago, so I am not feeling that great!

As for gifts, I received a few thing Crossfit related….. (2) t-shirts from CFHQ, a GPS watch for when I run (I will check your 400m, 800m and 5k routes Kev :D ) and a subscription to the Performance Menu journal by Catalyst Athletics. Also received a bunch of hiking stuff, 2 books (Untold story of Milk, Toxic Fat), and others stuff! I have been spoiled this year…

    Will see you guys soon.

Great Christmas break so far. For me it is always a time to see family and enjoy a couple of great turkey dinners. It’s a great time of year to be thankful for all that we have, especially our health.

I know Kevin doesn’t like to talk about weight, but I have to say that since starting Crossfit in September I have lost more than 20 lbs and reduced my waist has gone from a 36 to a 32! I haven’t been this size since high school! So thanks to everyone at Crossfit Moncton and particularly to Kevin for pushing me.

    Heidi and I did a W.O.D. at home today…

    AMRAP in 20 minutes

    10 Dumbell swings (25 lbs)
    20 Push ups
    30 Squats

    6 rounds + 18 push ups

Heidi beat me she got 8 rounds in.

I apologize to the ladies who’s buns I took a picture of at the party. However, I can’t say I’m sorry :)

OH the holidays have been brutal for my fitness. Cookies, gravy, chocolate, chips, beer, etc… My next WOD is going to feel horrible.

Looking forward to see the surprise renovations. Let me know if you need help Kevin!

    Quite Christmas mostly.
Eating…. pretty well… much better than in previous years.
I got a Paul Frank monkey T-shirt and a nice sweater…. not a christmas sweater though, just a sweater for christmas.

I’ve been doing small workouts at home. 15 squats, 15 leg lifts, 15 push-ups, 15 crunches. 10 rounds. It’s enough to get a sweat going, and I’m hoping that my first day back won’t be as painful.

Looking forward to seeing the new changes at the gym Kevin!

Pat, I understand the apology for the picture… butt yeah… there’s nothing to be sorry about there!
