The reviews are in and Darren and Kelly give The Mind with the Dirty Man Two Thumbs Up! Kevin, Jane and the rest of the cast did a marevelous job. I have bad dreams before where I’ve been in my underwear in front of a room full of people but Kevin obviuosly does not have a problem with it! Your (Kevin and Jane) characters are great and your timing and delivery was perfect. There are a tons of laughs in this show. If you don’t have tickets get out and get them!
Pierre – Just woke up. Eat breakfast. Relax. And put on a great show again tonight.
Darren/Kelly – Thanks for coming last night! I’m glad you enjoyed it! And that wasn’t my first time in front of hundreds of people in my scampies, so I’m used to it now.
Everyone – There are a few tickets left (can be bought at the theatre). Go get them today if you want them!
Today I drove to town to get a coffee. On my way back there was a gentleman about to open the driver side door of his vehicle which was parked on the side of the street. So I slowed down a gave him enough room to open his door. He turned around and looked at me.
This gentleman was probably in his 90′s, dressed in a suit with a dozen medals pined to it and was wearing a military hat. I smiled at him and he smiled back and waved to say “thank you for slowing down”.
I got goosebumps. This guy was thanking me for slowing down??? I should be the one to thank him. Heck I should’ve pulled over and offer to polish his shoes!!
On this day, remember that freedom should not be taken for granted. A lot of people sacrificed their lives for our generation and future generations so we can live the lives that we live today.
Just got back from the Remembrance Day service at the Coliseum. We always make a point to attend a service each year. It is the least we can do to honour our veterans. It doesn’t matter what your thoughts are on war or the ongoing conflicts in Afghanistan we should honour these men an women who give up so much.
Went with the kids to the traditional ceremony at Victoria Park. It is the venue of choice of the veterans. Sadly, the number of them that are there year after year has dwindled quite a bit. There was a record turn out this year as the trumpet player gave a chilling rendition of the Last Post. When all is said and done, the veterans place their poppy`s around the Soldier`s Statue, and the crowd follows suit. Very moving…Saw one vet crying as he remembered fallen friends. People came up and shook his hand and said “thanks“.
Kevin & Jane the show was awesome! Jane you really are a natural born Hollywood actress… teehehee I loved all the actors, you can tell you guys put alot of hours into this, bRAVo!
What will you guys do today on that holiday??
