Hot off the press! Here it is! The July Newsletter from CrossFit Moncton. By request, we’ve included a recipe section to help people stay in the Zone. We also have a feature article from Pierre Boivin about the Gymnastics Certification.
Hey you! Ya, the one behind the computer screen. Why haven’t you tried CrossFit yet? Is it because the workouts are too hard? You can’t do pullups or deadlift 200 pounds? Don’t worry…CrossFit can be scaled so that anybody can do it. For instance, CrossFit Moncton has these huge rubber bands that help you do pullups. They can modify any exercise to suit your level of fitness.
Oh, you don’t have time? No problem…you’ll only be at the gym for 50 minutes. You’ll start with a warm-up, work on some strength like a shoulder press, and then hit a workout, which sometimes lasts just 5 minutes.
So what are you waiting for? Come by on Saturday morning 9am and give it a try. Leave your money at home…just bring some gym clothes and water. Contact Kevin at crossfitmoncton@hotmail.com to confirm.
7 rounds of:
7 Burpees
7 Deadlifts, 185#
Today is the first day for the 6am class. Part of CrossFit’s ‘constantly varied’ workouts include the time of day you train. Try to mix it up a bit.

Wow! What a great weekend. Tucker was an awesome gymnastics instructor and we learned a boatload of skills. Thanks to CrossFit PEI for being outstanding hosts as well! Pierre will be writing up a summary of the weekend in the upcoming July Newsletter. Stay tuned.
In other news, people have been asking about the 6am classes. The first class will be on Monday, June 29. They will be available for registration on Wednesday morning of this week.
Also, CrossFit Moncton is beginning a new contest to encourage more people to post their results from the WODs. Starting today, for each occasion you submit your workout results, you’ll receive a “ballot” for a $25 gift certificate from Chapters. The main rule is that you must post no later than 24 hours after the workout to receive a ballot. As well, the workout must have been completed at CrossFit Moncton to count. So come workout, post often and good luck. (Contest closes Friday, July 31)
